Age 90 of Elmira, NY, passed away unexpectedly at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, on Friday, August 24th, 2007. Robert is the son of the late Luke D. and Rachel LodwickSeeley, born on October 25th, 1916 in Galeton, PA. He is predeceased by his wife, Virginia Neff Seeley, whom he dearly missed. Robert worked a great portion of his life on the Erie/ Lackawanna and Conrail Railroad as a conductor. For the last eight years he has volunteered at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center, which he enjoyed very much.He was a proud United States Army Veteran of WWII, serving in the Military Railway Service 722nd ROB. He was an active member of VFW Post #901 of Elmira, and the American Legion Clarence Oliver Post #154 in Elmira Heights, NY.Surviving Robert is his daughter and son-in-law, Vicki (George) Milunich of Binghamton, NY; son-in-law, Timothy Horan of Horseheads, NY; grandchildren, Geoffrey and Gregory Milunich both of Binghamton, Michael Horan of Elmira, Robert W. (Jeanette) Seeley of Sunbury, PA, Rollin (Amanda) Seeley of Ohio, Todd (Janet) Gates of PA, Amy Vanderhei of Wisconsin; 5 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mavis (Mike) Micknich of Elmira; many nieces and nephews. Robert is also predeceased by his children, Sharon Seeley, Robert J. Seeley and Marcia Horan. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY 14904 on Sunday, August 26th, 2007 from 2:00PM to 4:00 PM.Funeral and committal services will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours at 4:00 PM. His friend, the Reverend Ted Richards, will officiate. Interment will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery at a time convenient to the family.
