Richard G. Hunsinger

Age 82, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2005 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, FL. He was born on March 31, 1923 in Dushore, PA, the son of the late Harry and Agnes (Karge) Hunsinger.Richard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Hila (Stoddard) Hunsinger; children, Wanda & Leon McGrain of Horseheads, NY, Linda & Randy Little of Lakeland, FL, Pamela & Verne Stage of Caton, NY, Carolyn & predeceased son, Raulston, Hunsinger of Hickory, NC; sisters, Frances Kingsley, Evalda Black, Emily Rohe; brother, Harry Hunsinger; 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.Richard was a veteran of WWII, receiving two purple hearts, and a member of the Clarence Oliver American Legion Post #154, Elmira Heights.He was retired from US Steel and Rich?s Lawnmower Service.Richard was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Horseheads, NY.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, on Monday, April 25, 2005 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.Funeral service will be held there on Tuesday at 1:00 pm.Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Elmira, with full Military Honors accorded at the grave by the Chemung County Veterans Honor Squad.
