Michael James Vieira

Michael James Vieira Was born July 15, 1994 in Elmira, NY the beloved son of David A. and Lisa C. (Jerzak) Vieira, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the age of 22. His great uncle, Burke A. LaComb and paternal great grandfather, Antone R. Vieira preceded him in death. Michael is survived by his loving parents, David and Lisa; beloved brothers, Matthew Vieira, Nicholas Vieira and Luke Vieira all at home; girlfriend, Lexie Gunderman; maternal grandparents, Charles "Pop Pop" and Peggy "Panka" Jerzak; paternal grandparents, Robert and Anne Vieira; uncle and namesake, Michael James Vieira; aunts, Kimberly (Bernie) Rollins and Catherine (Hank) Montague; uncles, Daniel Vieira and George (Savanna) Vieira; uncle, Les (Rose) Jerzak; along with many special cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Michael graduated from Southside High School, class of 2012. He enjoyed camping, 4 wheeling and playing corn hole with his close friend "Bird" and the entire Gunderman family.As a youth, he played soccer with the Soaring Capital Soccer Club. He also loved hockey and the Elmira Jackals. He was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. Above everything else, family was first and foremost to him, and he absolutely loved spending time with them, especially his girlfriend and brothers. Children were especially drawn to Michael and his magnificent smile and laugh. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Thursday, May 18, 2107 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral Services celebrating his life will take place on Friday, May 19th at the Millerton Wesleyan Church 5174 Main Street Millerton, PA at 2:00 pm. Reverend Laurie Greenlaw will officiate.
