Louis J. Green

Age 91 of Elmira, NY, passed away August 22nd, 2007 at St. Josephs Hospital, Elmira. Lou was born in Lowman, NY, on November 6th, 1915. He was the beloved son of the late James and Mary Greatsinger Green.On November 28th, 1938 he married his love Gladys M. Morrison, whom has since predeceased him, almost a year ago. Together, Lou and Gladys loved and raised a wonderful family. Surviving them; their daughter and son-in-law, Dianne C. and Robert Vandenburgh; grandchildren, Stacie (Gerry) Anderson, great grandchildren, Alexis, Arrianna and Annika; grandson, Erick (Bridgett) Vandenburgh, all of Florida; son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Dianna Green of Cornelius, NC; granddaughter, Jessica Hargrave; great grandchildren, Courtney and Dakota all of Washington; with several nieces and nephews. Lou was a Nationwide Mutual insurance salesman for many years in the area. Throughout his life he stayed very active in both the Lake Street Presbyterian Church and the North Presbyterian Church, and the Elmira Kiwanis Club. Lous services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
