John P. Uhler

Age 50, formerly of 806 Winsor Ave. Elmira, NY passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2004 unexpectedly at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was born December 3, 1953 in Elmira, NY the son of Philip and Yvonne (Birch) Uhler. John is survived by his loving parents, Philip and Yvonne; beloved wife, Marilyn of Elmira, NY; dearly-loved children, Scott (Laurie Havens) Uhler of Horseheads, NY; Aimee and Christa Uhler both of Elmira, NY; brother, Joseph Uhler of Sullivanville, NY; sister, Lisa (Art) Austin of Alpine, NY; uncle Gordon (Theresa) Birch of Elmira, NY; mother-in-law and father-in-law; Audrey and Charles Walker of Horseheads, NY; brothers-in-law, Larry Walker of Elmira Heights, NY, Keith Walker of Horseheads, NY; sister-in-law, Connie Leister of Pine Valley, NY; along with 3 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, one very special friend and many other close friends. John was a former member of the local carpenter?s union, and avid sportsman and mainly enjoyed fishing and camping with his family. He followed NASCAR enthusiastically and particularly followed the # 24, his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. He will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend and will be dearly missed by all. Funeral Services will be held there at the conclusion of the visitation. (4:00 PM) The Reverend Jack Myers will officiate.
