Age 90, passed away on Tuesday, 4/17/2007, at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira.His parents, William R. & Florence (Shumaker) Pedrick and first wife, Alice Stein Pedrick, predeceased Francis.He is survived by his loving wife, Lela Stewart Marmor Pedrick; daughter, Joyce (Ralph) Todd of Pt. Charlotte, FL; sons, William (Christine) Pedrick of Elmira, NY, John (Diane) Marmor of Quakertown, PA; grandchildren, Scott Logue of Waldorf, MD, Sherri Schrijver of Elmira, Maia (Nate) Knowles of Cooperburg, PA, Michael Marmor of Quakertown, PA, Danielle (Rob) Pedrick, Christopher Pedrick both of Elmira, David (Karen) Burt of Pine City, Ralph (Toddie Todd) (deceased), Charles Todd; great grandchildren, Amber, Taylor & Scott Logue, Mackenzie Schrijver, Gabriel & Gideon Knowles, Gavin Pedrick, Ryan Todd, Alex Todd.After graduation from school he joined his father in the Pedricks Salvage and Lumber Co.After serving in the Army during WWII as a member of the Occupational Forces in Europe, he worked for Remington Rand a short time and then joined his father again at the lumber company.On the close of this business venture, Francis worked for Elmira Stamping Co. as a tool and die maker, where he later retired.He was an active Mason, in the VFW and Grotto. Francis joined Southport Volunteer Fire Department on May 6, 1952 and was their chief from 1961-1970.He also served as Captain, Assistant Chief, member of the Board of Directors, and Deputy Fire Investigator for the Town of Southport.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY 14904 on Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 20, 2007 at 11:00 AM.Rev. William Vallet will officiate.Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Southport Volunteer Fire Department or the charity of your choice.
