Age 89, passed away at peace in Arnold, Maryland.Jane, who lived many years in the Elmira-Ithaca area, passed on in the process of fulfilling her last wish to return home.She was born on November 15, 1915 in Elmira, NY.She was the daughter of the late Raymond Alexander Turnbull, MD and Eleanor Rae Haskins Turnbull.She studied fashion design at RIT, nursing at TC3, and became a certified medical-surgical nurse at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.Elizabeth was a great fan of Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey and the Big Band Era.Her survivors include her daughter, Sandra Rae Taylor Hunt and husband, Brigadier General James W. Hunt, retired, of Maryland and their children, Deborah, Rob, and Thomson; daughter, Elizabeth Jane Taylor Schaefer (Betsy) of Virginia and her children, Liz, Polly, Sherry, and Amy; and daughter, Raihana Maria Taylor Zaman (Nancy Dale) of New York and her children, Nisma and Hanan; son, Stephen George Taylor and spouse, Cindy Seeley Taylor, of North Carolina; and several great-grandchildren.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Monday, Feb 14, 2005 from 1 to 2 PM, with funeral services immediately following at 2 PM.The Reverend Dr. William Lutz of Trinity Episcopal Church will officiate.Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be directed to help stroke research at www.stroke.org or www.aphasia.org .Those wishing may leave a ?Candle of Remembrance? for the family in Obituaries at www.olthof.com.
