Yvonne M. Carrigan

Yvonne M. "Bonnie" Carrigan Age 50, of West Elmira, NY was born February 3, 1967 in Takoma Park, MD to Dennis Leon and Frances Rose (Lucy) Prins. She passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 26, 2017 after a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer. Her beloved mother, Frances Rose; paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents preceded her in death. She is survived by her father, Dennis Leon Prins; loving and devoted husband of 23 years, Gregg Carrigan of West Elmira; adored son, Seth Carrigan at home; stepchildren, Keith Carrigan and Kellie Carrigan both of Elmira; brothers, Jonathan (Linda) Prins of Georgia; Stephen (Brenda) Prins of Pine City, NY; nephew, Kyle Prins; niece, Katie Prins. Bonnie was employed at the AOMC for many years as a unit clerk in ICU and CCU. She mostly enjoyed watching and cheering for her son, Seth as he raced his motorcycles with the GNCC series and the WNYOA series. Yvonne absolutely loved her feline and canine companions and had a great respect for every living thing. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1 pm. Reverend Gregory Jones will officiate. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the Chemung County Humane Society and the SPCA 2435 Route 352 Elmira, NY 14903 in her memory.
