He was lovingly called “Mr Bill” by his high school aged Sunday School students and was involved in organizing the Easter Dawn Son Rise service at Pine City Baptist Church for many years. Beginning the first year of his marriage, he welcomed hunting friends into his home for opening day breakfast eventually becoming an overnight…, he later provided land for a hunting cabin adjacent to his farm property which was active until the 90’s, before changing hands.
