Garrison, Wendell O. Age 76, of Millerton, PA, passed away very unexpectedly on Saturday, January 19, 2002, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Wendell was born the son of the late Tracy and Bessie Garrison on March 29, 1925 in Elklick, PA. Surviving Wendell are: his wife of 48 years, Arletta Andrews Garrison, son; Tim Garrison of Millerton, PA, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.His parents and his brother, Richard Garrison, predeceased him. Wendell attended the Millerton United Methodist Church. He was the pattern maker for Kennedy Valve of Elmira. For over 30 years Wendell was dedicated to this job. He was a dedicated father and husband and loved his family very much. He loved to fish and hunt, especially bow hunting.Wendell also enjoyed gardening and woodworking.He served his country proudly during World War II as a soldier and Military Policein the United States Army and became a decorated Veteran.While in the Army he loved to pitch for the baseball team. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY 14904 on Monday, January 21, 2002 from 1-3pm and 6-8pm.Funeral and committal services will be held there on Tuesday, January 22, 2002 at 11am. The Rev. Carol Price will officiate with the Rev. Laurie Greenlaw assisting.Interment will be in Job's Corners Cemetery at the convenience of the family.Memorials may be made in Wendell's name to a charity of one's choice.A 'Candle of Remembrance' may be lit at www.olthof.com.
