of Elmira, NY, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.
Wayne was born on April 21, 1945 in Elmira, NY, the son of the late Willis and Louise VanHouten.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Thomas) Keenan; son, Wayne (Carys) VanHouten; grandchildren, Erin (Charles) Devine, Sarah Heineman, Caliope and Millicent VanHouten; great-grandchildren, Madighan and Liam Devine, Karter Baker; sister, Lorraine (James) VanHorn; brother, George (Val) VanHouten; sister-in-law, Frances Cicora; several nieces and nephews.
Wayne was predeceased by his wife, Robin, September 6, 2023; brothers, Harry, James, and Richard VanHouten.
Wayne was a avid New York Yankee and Miami Dolphins fan, and loved landscaping and gardening.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Wayne's memory.
