Walter W. Steiner

Walter W. Steiner Jr. Was born July 4, 1927 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Walter W. and Gladys (Clark) Steiner Sr., passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility at the age of 91. He was also preceded in death by his brother Richard Steiner. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, W. Jean (Cornell) Steiner; beloved children: Frederick (Shirley) Steiner, Valerie (David) Austin, Bonnie Steiner (Fred “Pop”), Fritzi (Carl) Shedden, Melanie (Michael) Johnson, Murray Steiner, John (Dawn) Steiner and Tina Steiner (Bruce); along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister-in-laws: Jean Steiner and Sandra Foulke. He was a Veteran of the US Navy proudly serving his country. He retired as an inspector/welder after several years of dedicated service from Schweizer Aircraft. At his request services will be held in the Elmwood Cemetery Caton, NY at later date and time.
