W. Francis Collson

W. Francis Collson, age 90, passed away February 14, 2018 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born March 25, 1927 to Merle & Beatrice (Albrecht) Collson in Elmira, NY. He was predeceased by his father & mother, wife Helen (Welch) Collson, sister & brother-in-law, Wanda Collson & Robert Lockner, brother & sister-in-law, Robert & Viola Collson. Survived by daughter Linda Lundy & husband Rick Clausen of Woodstock, GA, son & daughter-in-law Jim & Janet (Rutty) Collson of Elmira, NY,Peg Collson of Cape Coral, FL, sister-in-law Verda (Welch) Stugart, grandchildren Shannon Lundy, with fiancé John Dacostino of Stanford, CT, along with great grandson Christian, Brad & Stacy Lundy of Arlington, VA, Jason & Jeremy Collson of Elmira, NY, along with several nieces & nephews. Fran was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a manager at Moore Business Forms for 40 years, first in Elmira, NY, then Thurmont, MD where he retired. Fran enjoyed his vegetable garden in the summer, along with snowmobiling in the winters. He spent his summers at his lake home on Lamoka Lake & his winters in Matlacha, FL overlooking the Matlacha Pass. He was an all around family man, spending quality time with his children & grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY.
