Thomas J. Bement

Bement, Thomas J. age 71 of Painted Post, NY, formerly of Pine City and Wellsburg, NY. Passed away January 31st, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born August 25th, 1946. He was the son of the late Edward and Margaret (Neal) Bement. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Betty S. Bement of Painted Post; Daughters: Jennifer (Joel) Coon of Elmira, NY, Stephanie (Max) Bement-Parson of Penn Yan, NY, Rebecca (Thomas) Patros of Canandaigua, NY; Grandchildren: Kristina Bement, William Thomas, Sarah and Matthew Coon, Maryn Parson, Quentin and Gus Patros; Great granddaughters: Annabelle and Amelia Decker; Brother: John (Donna) Bement of Florida; Along with several nieces, nephews and sister in law: Louise Bement of Lansing.Tom was predeceased by his brother William Bement, and sister and brother in law: Mary Jo and Bill Greatsinger. He worked for ATT and retired from Corning Inc. He was a softball coach for Southport Recreation and very active in the churches he and Betty served. He loved Keuka Lake, cars and most of all his family. He will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM.
