Sylvia Jeanne Rinebold

Rinebold, Sylvia "Jeanne" (McCartney) age 80, of Elmira NY, passed away December 13, 2020 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was born on January 23, 1940 in Mt Union, PA. She worked at American LaFrance, where she met her hubby, Levi Rinebold (Bud), who predeceased her in 2010.She was also predeceased by her two brothers, Ira McCartney (Sonny) and Clinton McCartney (Bucky); parents, Ira McCartney and Julia McCartney. She is survived by her brother, William (Barb) McCartney; children, Celeste Vedder, Cheryl (Doug) Dalton, and Patrick (Dawn) Dalton; grandchildren, Tiffany (Patrick) Hughes, Lindsey (Alan) Farnsworth, CassiJo Collins, Brock (Mia) Collins, Colton (Kayla) Collins, Sabrina Taft, Taya Taft, Nina (David) Swarthout, Amanda (Jason) Dalton, Christopher (Wendy) Dalton, and Tiara (Tyler) Dalton; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She loved Elvis, Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers, Blake Shelton, fishing, camping, bowling and playing cards. Also, an avid hunter, she loved her deer, squirrel, turkey and rabbit. But most of all, she loved her family, laughing, Sunday dinners, and celebrating her favorite time of the year, Christmas Eve, at her house. Special thanks to her eye doctor, Dr. Willard for always giving her deer meat. She will forever live in our hearts.Service arrangements are pending.
