Stuart R. Jacklin

Stuart R. Jacklin, 89, of Horseheads, NY passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 6, 2018 surrounded by his family. Stuart was predeceased by his parents, William and Hazel Kuzman Jacklin; loving wives, Betty Rose Jacklin and Margaret Blanche Jacklin; daughter, Linda Jacklin; siblings, Lucille and Kenneth. Stuart is survived by his children, Ralph (Micky) Jacklin of Collierville, TN, Beverly Jacklin, of Mendon, NY, Janet (John) Leone of Buffalo, NY and Debra (Duane) Kennison of Ballston Spa, NY; sister, Kathleen Jacklin; brother, Stanley (Roberta) Jacklin; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many dear friends and neighbors. Stuart was a retired machinist after 30 years of service at Purolator in Elmira. Stuart was a WWII era Navy veteran, an avid hunter and scrabble player. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Care First Hospice, 3805 Meads Creek Road, Painted Post, NY 14870 or the American Cancer Society, 1316 College Ave, Elmira, NY 14901. A memorial service celebrating Stuart’s life will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 11 AM at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY. Burial to follow immediately with full military honors in the Fitzsimmons Cemetery, Elmira, NY.
