Stephen Douglas Satterlee

Stephen D. “Steve” Satterlee was born on December 15, 1954 in Elmira, NY. He passed away on March 9, 2020 at Elcor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Horseheads, NY. Steve was predeceased by his parents, Leonard H. and Dorothy (Welsh) Satterlee. He is survived by his son, Leonard T. Satterlee; brother, Scott Satterlee; sister, Carol (Satterlee) Pandis; and many other family members and longtime friends. A near lifelong resident of the Elmira community, Steve graduated from Southside High School in 1972. He spent his younger adult life working for numerous local bars and restaurants, before working his later life at B&W Supply in Ithaca until an injury forced him into an early retirement. An avid fan of nearly all sports, Steve would often be found cheering on his favorites, the Dallas Cowboys, the Boston Red Sox, or any youth team his son played on. In addition, he loved the outdoors and travel, especially finding new places to go fishing. Steve was a loving father, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
