Shirley Webber Miller

Shirley Webber Miller, 87, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.She was born and raised in Big Flats, NY, a daughter of Zelma (Cotter) and Howarth Webber. She worked at Corning Glass Works as a stenographer/secretary in the Research and Development Division, where she met her husband Ralph. They were married for 63 years.She was predeceased by her brother Edward. She is survived by her husband Ralph; son Keith (Joyce) Miller and daughter Pam (John) Everts.She enjoyed bowling and golfing in her earlier years. She loved her flower garden and the Yankees.She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed getting together each week with her close circle of friends.She was a wonderful wife and mother who treasured her time with family.At her request there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chemung County Humane Society, 2435 Route 352, Elmira, NY 14903.
