Sherril Miller Age 71, of Elmira, NY passed away Monday, April 8, 2002 at the Bath Veteran?s Hospital in Bath, NY.Sherril was the loving son of the late Quillen and Leora Elliott Miller.Surviving Sherril are: his beloved wife; Edith Karam Miller of Elmira, NY, sons; David (Patty) Miller of Wolcott, NY, Jeffrey (Cynda) Miller of Big Flats, NY, grandchildren; Hillary and Haley Miller, brothers; Ford (Helen) Miller of Chesapeake, VA, Lee (May) Miller of Hickory, NC, sisters; Shirley (Frank) Wilson, and Madge (Bruce) Phillips both of Erwin, TN.He was predeceased by his brothers; Daniel and Stewart Miller.Sherril was a veteran of the Korean War serving his country faithfully in the US Air Force.He was a member of the Trinity Church.Sherril was a 35year veteran of the Elmira City Police Department.He enjoyed fishing along Seneca Lake.He was a totally devoted family man and father.Sherril loved the nice and quiet dinners he had with his beloved Edith, their company and grandchildren.He enjoyed the position he held in his job and the many friendships he made through his devotion to his community and his fellow police officers throughout the state.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY 14904 on Wednesday, April 10, 2002 from 7-9pm and on Thursday, April 11, 2002 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2002 at the Trinity Episcopal Church at 10am.The Rev.
