Sarah Ann Decker

Age 95 of Bethany Courtyard, Horseheads, NY, formerly of Elmira, was blessed into the beloved hands of her Lord, Wednesday, May 29th, 2002 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center after a brief illness. Sarah was the beloved daughter of the late William H. and Nancy Moore Sechrist. She was born in Trout Run, Pa, December 28th, 1905 and she was the loving wife of the late Bruce Decker, who predeceased her in 1988. Surviving Sarah are several loving nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brothers Joel, Ronald, Clifford, Victor, and Grant, and sisters Lilly McCann and Beatrice Kaiser. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY 14904 Friday, May 31, 2002 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 7:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral and committal services will be shared at the conclusion of the calling hours at 8:00PM. The Rev. David Hays will officiate. Interment will follow at a time convenient with the family in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira. Sarah was a very active and devoted member of the Centenary United Methodist Church. She was proud to be the legal secretary for the Gaylord Riggs Law Office and she was an accomplished seamstress.
