SLAVEN, Ruth Eileen Age 58Of Elmira, NY went to be with the Lord on Saturday July 21, 2001 at home following an extended illness. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James R. Slaven, Son James ( Karen) Slaven Jr. of Elmira, NY; 4 Grandchildren, Parents, Robert and Ruth Kelly of Elmira, NY; Sister, Dorothy (Arthur) Morgan of Winchester, VA ;Sister In-law, Sherie Kelly of Elmira, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends. Ruth was predeceased by her brother Robert Kelly on September 22, 1999. She was a former member of the Lady?s of the Moose, T.O.P.S and a former Southport Planning Board member. Ruth was also the owner/operator of Stichin? Sisters in Elmira; Ruth enjoyed crafts of all kinds. Family and Friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. on Tuesday July 24, 2001 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Wednesday from 11:00 to 12:00 PM with the Funeral Service there Wednesday at 12:00 PM.
