Roy E. White

Roy E. White Sr. Of Wellsburg, NY and Lakeland FL Age 87, was born July 7, 1930 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Leon E. and Nettie (Flanders) White passed away peacefully at his home in Florida on Saturday, September 23, 2017 with family at his side. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold White and Charles White. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Thelma White; beloved children: daughters: B J Palmer (Shawn Morris) of Wellsburg, NY; Sue (Howard) Knickerbocker of Elmira, NY; Darlene (Terry) Pritchard of Elmira, NY; sons: "Slugger" White of Connecticut; Roy E. (Connie) White Jr. of Pine City, NY; along with 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends. Roy retired from Albee Truck after 44 dedicated years as Service Manager. For 28 years Thelma and Roy spent their summers at their place in Lodi near Seneca Lake and wintered for the past 19 years in Lakeland, FL. Roy enjoyed his time spent at both of these places and most of all enjoyed his family; as they were everything to him. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. A Memorial Service honoring Roy's life will follow the visitation at 2 pm. The Reverend Bob Searles will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation 2590 Havendale Blvd. NW Winter Haven, FL 33881 in his memory.
