Robert O. Thomas

Robert O. “Bob” Thomas, age 90 of Lowman, NY went to be with his loving wife on Monday, October 22, 2018. Bob was predeceased by his mother, Helen Thomas; his loving wife of 61 years, Grace Thomas; and their faithful companion, Buddy. Bob is survived by his children, Peggy (Marlin) Young, Helen (Tracy) Pitt, Sue (Steve) Baker, Roberta (Henri) Lee and Robert (Liz) Thomas; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Bob was a founding and lifetime member of the Baldwin Volunteer Fire Department. He retired from F.M. Howells after 30 plus years of dedicated service. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Bob was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Baldwin Volunteer Fire Department, 460 Breesport N Chemung Rd, Lowman, NY 14861. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 1 pm at the North Chemung United Methodist Church, 677 Breesport N Chemung Rd, Lowman, NY 14861.
