Robert C. Shoemaker

Age 77 of Elmira, NY, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2002 at the Bath VA Medical Center in Bath, NY. Robert was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Minerva Shoemaker in 1998, and by his parents, the late Emory and Helen Ives Shoemaker. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Ann Bacon of Elmira, NY; nephews, Matthew and Michael; sister-in-law, Margaret Morse, and nieces, Sheila Vondracek and Gail Shaw, all of Elmira, NY. Robert is an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He loved his canine companions, and in the past, was an avid bowler, loved woodworking, and was a self-made handyman. According to Robert?s wishes, private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family, and he will be buried in Woodlawn National Cemetery.
