Robert C. Rodabaugh

Robert C. Rodabaugh, Sr., 90, was called home to his Lord and Savior on November 2, 2023. He was the son of the late Clifford and Alice (Ennis) Rodabaugh.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his step-mother Virginia Rodabaugh; his sister Eileen Cundy; his brothers Leonard, Richard, and Peter Rodabaugh; the mother of his children Phyllis Rodabaugh; and by his son-in-law Raymond Harkness.

He is survived by: his sister Sally King; step-sister Arlene Gulley; his daughter Nancy Harkness of Southport, NY; his sons - Clifford (Heather) Rodabaugh of Pine City, NY, Robert Rodabaugh, Jr. of Southport, NY, and Vince (Cindy) Schneider of St. Louis, MO; his grandchildren - Jennifer Fox, Tia Fuller, Joseph Harkness, Kelly Harkness, Michael Rodabaugh, and Daniel Rodabaugh; and by his great-grandchildren - Hannah Fox, Dominic and Leilani Daniels, Troy, Oliver, and Rowin Fuller, Landon, Sophia, and Danni-Lynn Harkness, and Elijah and Carter Rodabaugh.

Robert was a lifetime member of the Southport Volunteer Fire Department where he served as a fire investigator, and as a past Assistant Chief. He also served as a fire investigator for the county of Chemung, and was a private investigator operating his own business, NIS Investigation Services.  He and his brother were the owners of Rodabaugh's Body Shop for over 45 years before Robert's retirement in 2015.  After retiring, he then went on to work part-time as a greeter at Olthof Funeral Home, and to volunteer as a greeter for his church, the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church (P.A.U.M.C.) where he always had a smile and a hug for all.

There will be calling hours on November 8, 2023 at the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church, 1238 Pennsylvania Ave, from 10 AM until 12 PM, when a fireman's dedication service will be shared by the Southport Volunteer Fire Department, followed by a celebration of Bob's life at 12:15 PM with fellowship time to follow.  A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
