Robert F. Oã‚´Connell

Age 69 of Corning, NY, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 12, 2003 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years; Carolyn O?Connell, son; Robert D. O?Connell, daughters; Janine Smith and Colleen O?Connell-Perez; 9 grandchildren and sister; Trudy Brumfield of Florida. Robert was a member of the Fountain of Life Church, Big Flats, NY, a retired Corning Inc. employee, and a United States Army veteran. Robert was an avid fisherman and hunter, who enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira on Thursday, January 16, 2003 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM with Funeral and Committal Service there Thursday at 6:00 PM. His son, the Rev. Robert D. O?Connell will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira. Those wishing may make memorials to The American Cancer Society for cancer research.
