Robert L. Babcock

Robert L. Babcock, Jr. age 69, of Elmira, NY passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018. He was born on October 27, 1948 in Sayre, PA to the late Robert and Margaret Babcock, Sr. Robert is survived by his daughters, Ashley (Matt) Bash and Karrie (Greg) Paul; grandchildren, Kendra, Karlee, Memphis, Easton, Elsie and Olive; siblings, Jack, Connie Sally and Randy; as well as several nieces and nephews. Robert was never seen without his loyal companion of twelve years, Odie, his beloved boxer. He proudly served his country in the U.S. ARMY, including the Vietnam War. Robert’s decorations included the Army Commendation Medal, with Valor for heroism in connection with military operations against a hostile force. Robert was also awarded the Bronze Star, an additional Army Commendation Medal and various other personal and unit awards. A private ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family where Robert will be accorded full military honors.
