ROE, Robert K Age 78 Of Horseheads, NY Died on August 11, 2001 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center following an extended illness. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Rita E. Roe. Son; Robert K. Jr. (Barbara) Roe of Richmond, VA. Daughter: Charlotte (Charles) Annis of Big Flats, NY. Grandchildren: Shelley (Paris) Neofotistos, Erin (Ken) Goss, Jason (Erin) Roe all of Richmond, VA. Sarah (Kurt) Dennis of Cochranton, PA; Joshua Annis of Big Flats, NY. Great Grandchildren: Jacob and Jonathan Goss, of Richmond, VA. Sister: Elsie (David) Jones of Delhi, NY.Robert was a United States Army Veteran of WW II having served in the invasions of Normandy with the US Army Ranger Battalion. He was past Master of the Elmira Heights Masonic Lodge #913 and past member of the Cashmere Grotto. Before his illness Robert was very active in the Boy Scouts of America and was a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. He was also a member of the Elmwood Baptist Church and a retired employee of the Bendix Corporation It was Robert?s request that there be no calling hours and a Memorial Service will be held at a time to be announced.
