Garrison, Richard E. age 75 of Millerton, Pa Very unexpectedly Thursday, September 6th, 2001 at the St. Joseph?s Hospital, Elmira.Richard is the beloved son of the late Tracy B. and Bessie Omelion Garrison. He was born in Cumberland, MD. on February 1st, 1926. Surviving Richard is his wife Betty, Son Jeffrey (Angela) Garrison of Delaware, Daughter Paula (Ed) Drake of Pine City, NY Former wife and mother of his children Ann Garrison of Elmira. Grandchildren Sara Garrison, Jay, Cortney, Michael Drake. Brother Wendell (Arletta) Garrison of Millerton, Pa Nephew Tim Garrison of Millerton, Pa 2 aunts and several cousins. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Sunday, September 9th, 2001 1:00 to 3:00PM and 6:00 to 8:00PM. Funeral Services will be held there at the conclusion of the calling hours at 8:00PM. Graveside committal prayers will be shared 10:00AM Monday, September 10th, 2001 with full Military Honors accorded.Richard was a devoted Former Chief and Volunteer of the Big Elm Volunteer Fire Department ofDaggett, PA. Member of the American Legion Post and VFW of Troy, PA. Richard was known best for his unforgettablestories, master carpentry work, dedication to Wenzel Construction, his love of hunting, fishing and camping and being the holder of the Big Elm?s chicken Barbeque recipe.
