Rebecca K. Bouille

Rebecca K. Bouille, age 78, of Elmira, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rochester, NY on January 14th, 1939 to the late Harold and Elizabeth Kimber. Rebecca was also predeceased by her sister Jeanette Sleight. She is survived by her loving companion, Murray McEwan, daughters: Laura Kennedy and Linda (Tom) Haskell, grandchildren Matthew Kennedy, Rachel (Sean) Stevens, Katherine (Matt) Furstoss, and Hannah and Jack Haskell, great-grandchildren: Aberdeen, Cyris, Lulu, Ethan, and Nora. Becky is also survived by special friends, Georgia Taylor, Donna Winsor, and Wisconsin friend, Gloria Park. Becky served as President of the Elmira Garden Club, was a board member for the American Red Cross, Compeer, Chemung County Family Services, Substance Abuse Provider Committee, United Way of Chemung/Steuben Counties and was a friend of Bill W. for 23 years and helped many. She was an active member in her church, Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school, and as a trustee. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, painting, and ceramics. Becky loved spending time with Murray, especially their winters in Saddlebag Resort, Lake Wales, Florida, travels to Germany, and visits to his home in Canada. Becky was full of life and her family was her greatest love, and, as it grew, friends of family and their families too, were added to the circle. She will be greatly missed by many. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 24th, 2017 from 1-2 PM at the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church, 1238 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY 14904 with a memorial service to immediately follow at 2 PM. Pastor Bill Vallet will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
