Raymond H. Buchy November 20, 1930 - February 9, 2022 Born in Metz, France, He is survived by his wife, Gloria, sons, Daniel (Tricia) Buchy, David and Reinato, grandchildren, Meagan (Kyle) Wendella, Amanda Buchy, and Michelle (Sean) Costello, and Isabella Buchy, 8 great-grandchildren. Raymond grew up in France during W.W. II and witnessed numerous battles. On his 14th birthday, the first of Patton's 3rd Army arrived in his village. Ray acted as an interpreter between the American Troops and the village officials. He immediately fell in love with the Americans and knew he wanted to come to America. Ray did arrive in America and his 3 sons were born in NYC. Ray eventually left NYC for Mexico City, where he worked for Fawcett Publications. Mexico City became Ray's new adopted home for more than 55 years. Ray traveled the world and spoke 5 languages. He wrote 2 best selling books and traveled the world for business and pleasure. Ray made friends wherever he went, including Elmira, NY, where his son Daniel lives. Wherever Ray went, his heart always longed to return to Mexico City. Ray was called home by Jesus and will forever live in eternal peace.
