Randall J. Ring

Ring, Randall J. "Randy" age 62 of Elmira, NY. Passed unexpectedly March 1st, 2023 at the Robert Packer Hospital. He was born in Horseheads, NY, August the 28th, 1960. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Shirley (Stalter) Ring; Mother: Beverly (Coop) Ring of Horseheads; Step daughter: Stacy Cleary of Elmira; Sister: Janell (Ring) Sullivan (Monty Sullivan) of Beaver Dams, NY; Brother: Ricky Ring (Tami Evans) of Millerton; Sister in law: Phyllis Potter of Elmira along with several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and special friends including his horse: "Choo-Choo Charlie", dog: "Cookie" and cat: "Blondie". He is predeceased by his father Richard W. Ring. Randy was dearly loved by everyone. He operated his own farrier service for many years, he was employed in the past at ABB Rail Car Company and Triangle Steel. His passion in life was caring for horses as a farrier and owning his own harness race horses. He was a devoted Buffalo Bills fan and was a well known high school wrestler. He devoted countless hours and over 35 years caring for the people, horses, stables, out buildings, riding rings, fence rail, turf and equipment of the Chemung County Fairgrounds. He will forever be a missing part of this place. Family and Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life that will be held at the Olthof Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 17th, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
