Youngs, Philip Levi age 80 of Pine City, NY Passed away surrounded by the family he loved Friday, May 11th, 2018 at the Corning Hospital. Phil was born in Watertown, NY October 4th, 1937. The son of the late Levi and Flossie (Spencer) Youngs. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his first wife Joyce in 2001. Surviving Phil is his wife and friend Barbara Youngs of Pine City; Sons: Terry (Bonnie) Youngs of Pine City; Mark (Karen) Youngs and Rick (Vonnie) Youngs both of Elmira; 3 Step Children: Tina (Ed) Pesesky of Elmira, Tammy (William) Frink of Corning, and Samantha Jones of Mobile, Al; Grandchildren: Kelli Nelson, Keith, Kyle, Kevin Youngs, Matthias(Katie), Jairus, Seth Youngs, Michael, Ryan(Haley) Youngs, Dale(Judith) Coyle, Bryan(Ashley) Coyle, Brett Coyle; Courtney Edger, Kinlee Collins, Danielle Frink, Shannan Jones, Kasey Jones: 5 Great granddaughters and 2 great grandsons; Sister: Evelyn Hunt of Brownville, NY; Brother: Joseph (Lorraine) Youngs of Marlborough, NH; Sister: Estella (John) Passage of Carthage, NY. Along with several nieces and nephews.Phil’s sisters Arlene Goodfriend, Alice Andrews, and brother Donald Youngs all predecease him. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Monday May 14th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. Funeral services celebrating Phil’s life will be held Tuesday, May 15th at 10:00AM. Graveside services will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY. Phil was devoted husband and father. He adored his grandchildren and felt very lucky to have Barbara in his life to live out this chapter. In 1969 Phil moved his family to Elmira and began working at the Elmira Heat Treating, Inc. as general manager. In 1982 he was able to purchase the company and operate it until he sold the company to his sons to carry on his vision for the future. During his tenure the business grew from 8000 sq. Ft. to 80,000 sp ft. and employed 50 devoted extended family members. He truly loved every person that worked in his company. He valued his many friendships he made through the business. The family is so grateful to Dr. LaDelia, Dr. Mauri, Patty Meehan, Julie Boreson and Stephanie for the heartfelt love, care, and compassion shown to Phil and his family during his life.
