Paul Allen Mcnaney

ELMIRA – Paul Allen McNaney, 64, of Elmira, died on Thursday, July 7, 2022.  Born on May 26, 1958 in Elmira, NY, he was the son of the late Willliam C. and Betty (Mae) McNaney.

He honorably served in the US Navy before attending Corning Community College. He then went on to study English at Syracuse University and Elmira College. One of his favorite things to do was play golf with his long time friends.

After many years of shaping the minds of his students, Paul retired from his position as an English Professor at Corning Community College in 2018.

He is survived by his siblings, Barb Clark of Seneca Falls, NY, Dan McNaney of Elmira, Joe (Sharon) McNaney of Elmira, Joan (Michael) Soldo of Elmira; six nieces and nephews; 9 great nieces and nephews; and his beloved cats, Zeno and Max.
