Held, Paul J. Age 88 of Geneva, NY formerly of Comfort Hill, Elmira, NY. Passed peacefully into rest Sunday, September 2nd, 2001 in theSeneca Falls Rehabilitationand Nursing Center in Geneva, NY. Surviving Paul are his sons and daughters in law: James R. (Ann) Held of Wynantskill, NY,John E. (Nadine) Held of Seneca Falls, NY, GeraldJ. (Lorraine) Held of Pineville, NC and Daughter Jean M. Held of Colchester, VT. 9 Loving grandchildren and several beloved great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his wife Nora E. Held. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Thursday, September 6th, 2001 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral and committal services will be held there Friday, September 7th, 2001 at 10:00am. The Reverend Guy Dartyof the Southside Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at the Hornbrook Cemetery in Towanda, PA. Paul worked for the American La France Co. for over 30years specializing in the Methods and Standards Division. Those knew Paul best for being a wonderful father and grandfather who loved ice skating, which he enjoyed doing into his golden years. He was an avid golfer, loved climbing and admiring the picturesque Adirondack Mountains. In Lieu of flowers those wishing may make memorials in Paul's name to the charity of ones? choice.
