Norm Beamesderfer born July 26, 1940 in Kingston PA. died this week, doing something he loved, playing a close game of racquetball. Norm married his cross-town high school sweetheart, Regina Stefanowicz, whom he met at the roller rink and apparently wooed her with his stylish moves. They married in 1960 in Washington DC, but upon the Cuban missile scare, they moved the family safely to Pine City, where the two raised their family and lived ever since. Norm worked as a mechanical engineer and in various other capacities at Kennedy Valve for 40 years and was proud of the hydrants the folks at the plant produced. More importantly, he was a wonderful husband, a great father, and an even greater grandfather. He always wore an energetic smile on his face and he and Regina were always the first to offer a helping hand to anyone who needed one. They truly lived life in service of others. They are humble Christians and members and founders of a local seventh day Adventist church. Norm is seceded by his wife: Regina, two brothers: Jerry and Bly; a sister: Patsy; six children: Richard and Maria, Tim and Sylvia, and Marylu and Brian, and nine Grandchildren: Zach, Marielle, Josh, Garret, Jessica, twins Jacob and Karl, Allison, and youngest - Sharon. A Memorial Service celebrating Norm's beautiful life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 3:00pm at the Cornerstone Church, 410 Dann Blvd. Horseheads, NY 14845. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Cornerstone Church or to the charity of one's choice.
