Mona Phillips

Mona R. Phillips, Age 67, of Wellsburg, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 12, 2024, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center.  Mona was born in Elmira, NY on May 18, 1956 daughter of the late Glenn & Rosemarie (Adams) Hurd, and was a graduate of Southside High School. She was previously employed as a cook at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Maple Lawn Dairy, and retired after 13 years of service at the Stateline Mart in Wellsburg. Mona enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She was a wonderful cook and always had a smile.

Surviving include her husband Chris A. Phillips of Wellsburg, sisters, Doreen & Mike Johnson of Elmira, Arlene & Jack Toby of Southport, her brother, Rick & Cheryl Hurd of Wellsburg, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mona was predeceased by her parents, a sister Gail Carpenter and her loving son Lawrence R. Phillips who passed away February 27, 2018.

Funeral services are private and under the direction of the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY 14904.
