Age 92 formerly of North Chemung and Elmira, NY, went home to be with her Lord and beloved husband, Harlow F. Bennett Monday, April 22, 2002 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Athens, PA. She was born July 12, 1909 in Galeton, PA the daughter of the late Alpha D. and Jennie B. (Button) Butler. Her brother, Alpha Butler and sister, Elsie Duvall, also predeceased her. Her survivors include: loving and devoted son and daughter-in-law, Gerald ?Ike? and Judi Bennett Sr. of Elmira, NY; grandchildren, Gerald F. and Ranakay Bennett Jr. of Elmira, NY; Diana McHenry of Newark Valley, NY; special grandson, James F. Bennett of Gig Harbor, WA; Randy E. and Genelle Teeter of Fort Drum, NY; along with 16 great-grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren, sister, Velma Anderson of Florida; very special nieces, Virginia Connelly of CT; Jennie Hunt of Addison, NY; foster-son, Richard (Sandra) West of Elmira, NY; foster-daughter, Sharon Van Lone of Candor, NY. Mildred was a member of the Church Street Baptist Fellowship and past member of the Baldwin Volunteer Fire Department Women?s Auxiliary. She spent her life by her husbands? side as his companion and as mother to their son. Their life was shared together on the family dairy farm. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all. Funeral Services will be held there Saturday at 11:00 AM. The Reverend Donald Knapp will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rural Home Cemetery Big Flats, NY.
