Grinolds, Melvin A. ?Pete?Age 75 of Bath, NY and formerly of Elmira, NY died unexpectedly Thursday, May 2, 2002 at the Corning Hospital.Pete is survived by his loving wife, Lucille Grinolds,his sons, Dale (Karen) Grinolds, Daniel (Joan) Grinolds, his daughter, Marcia (Ronald) Drake, his stepsons, Donald (Jean) Kobbe, Dennis (Barb) Kobbe, Daniel Kobbe, his stepdaughters, Linda (Roger) Balmer, Ann (Tom) Kinary, his sisters, Doris Bennett and Naomi Smith, his brothers, Bernard and Donald Grinolds, 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.He was predeceased by his parents, Mart and Anna Marsh Grinolds and 5 brothers.He was a retired tile setter and member of the Bricklayers Union of Elmira.Pete also worked at the Bath VA and was the owner-operator of the Friendly Tavern in Elmira, and Wayne, NY.He is a past Commander of the Wayne American Legion Post, a Governor of the Elmira Moose Club, a life member of the VFW, the Bath Elks, and a member of the Charles E. Wolcott American Legion Post in Bath, NY.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY 14904 on Monday, May 6, 2002 from 4 to 7 PM.Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7PM with Father Richard Farrell officiating.Interment will be in St. Peter and Paul?s Cemetery, Elmira at the convenience of the family.Memorial donations in Pete´s name may be made to the Bath Ambulance Corp., 110 E.
