Matthew A. Sando

Matthew A. Sando, age 42 of Elmira, NY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 4, 2019. Matt was a loving father, son, and friend, as well as an incredibly hard working machinist and truck driver. He was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees, and the Buffalo Bills. Anyone could tell you that he was one of the funniest people they knew, never failing to make a smart joke out of anything. Matt was always focused on health and wellness, never missing a day on his gym schedule. He had a love for music, movies, and art, all of which he enjoyed with his daughter and parents. He and his only daughter shared a special bond that got them through the toughest of times. They always made time to share a meal, watch a movie, go to a museum, or catch a baseball game. Matt is survived by his parents, Paul and Nancy Sando, and his daughter, Emily Sando. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those who would like, may make donations to a local animal shelter.
