Mary I. Wetzel

Wetzel, Mary I. (Keifer) Formerly of Elmira, NY And the Falls Home in Montour Falls Age 86 passed away March 1, 2001 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls, NY. Born March 30, 1914 she was a daughter of the late Charles and Cora Keifer.Her husband, John P. Wetzel and a son, Gary E. Wetzel, predeceased her.Surviving are: Daughter, June (Creighton) Laughlin and husband, Gerald L. Laughlin; Grandchildren, Bruce and Deborah Creighton, Mark, Kevin Creighton Jamie and Paula Creighton, Faith (Creighton) and Tim Shaw, Bridget Creighton and Fiancé Jody Randall; and 7 Great-grandchildren.Mary was retired from the A&P where she was employed as a candy maker.Family and friends are invited to call Sunday, March 4, 2001 from 2 to 4 PM at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira. The funeral service will follow there at 4 PM. Christian Cassetta will officiate. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads, NY at the convenience of the family.In lieu of flowers the family request?s that memorial donations be directed to the charity or organization of one?s choice in Mary?s memory.
