Mary P. Stone

Age 93 of Beckwith Road passed away on Friday, January 17, 2003 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira. She was born October 15, 1909 in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of the late John and Eva (Seredinsky) Politza Sr. and the loving wife of the late Robert W. Stone who preceded her in death February 6, 1998. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Marcia (Gary) Chamberlain of Pine City, NY; Marilyn (Myron) Weintraub of Chicago, IL. Mary is also survived by a sister-in-law, Eleanor Politza of Cape Cod, MA; along with numerous nieces, nephews and dear friend Kathy Buczek. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Nicholas and Rose Politza, Stephen and Theresa Politza, Michael and Helen Politza and John Politza. Mary was a member of the Westside United Methodist Church of Elmira, NY and retired after many years of being the private secretary for Anaconda Wire & Cable Co. In her younger years, Mary was very active in the Girl Scouts of America. She was a devoted wife and mother, loved by all who knew her, Mary will be dearly missed. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service celebrating Mary?s life on Thursday, January 23, 2003 at 11:00 AM at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY. Interment will take place at the convenience of Mary?s family. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the charity of one?s choice in her memory.
