Mary Osenbaugh

Mary (“Weasy”,”Maralouise”) Louise (Barnes) Osenbaugh, 88, formerly of Elmira, NY and Zephyrhills, FL passed away at her home in Pine City, NY surrounded by her loving family on March 28, 2023. Mary was born April 2, 1934 in Mansfield, PA and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edith (Jebbett) Barnes. She is also preceded in death by her husband Tommie Osenbaugh of 60 years, brothers Richard Barnes, Ronald Barnes, and Gerald Barnes, great grandson Dylan James Couch. Mary is survived by her 5 daughters Sheila (Richard) Hewitt, Janet Osenbaugh, Deborah (Roger) Flasphaler, Cathy (Jerome) Domineske, Jacqueline (Alan) Cecce; 27 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister Bertie (Kenny) Andrus, brothers David (Nancy) Barnes and Fred Barnes and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Mary was a seamstress having worked at Sears in Elmira making custom draperies. When Sears stopped that part of their business Mary went into business for herself until her retirement at age 82. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY on April 1, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM for calling hours with a funeral service to follow. Interment will take place in Woodlawn National Cemetery in Elmira, NY at the convenience of the family where she will reside for all eternity with her husband. Flowers will be provided by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association and Heart Association.
