Mary E. Jones

Age 80 of Millerton, PA passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2003 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center after an extended illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 19, 1922 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Eric and Carrie Easson.Mary was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Carrie Alica Corwin; sisters, Carrie Easson, Carlyn Harris, Ann Herbert, Barbara Comfort, and Jane Liddy; brother, Eric Easson. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Charles Jones; beloved daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Charles Hastings of Wilkes-Barre, PA and Clearwater, FL; Mary Beth and Mark Corwin of Endicott, NY; grandchildren, Charles (Lois) Rupar; Lori (Andrew) Kratz; Jason, Nate and Sara Mae Corwin; great grandchildren, Chad, Blake andAbby Rupar; Christina Kratz; sister, Ruth (George) Huyler of East Syracuse, NY; brother, Edward Easson of Elmira, NY; along with several nieces and nephews. Mary was a wonderful homemaker, and was noted for her famous potato and macaroni salads. Picnics will never be the same again without her famous salads. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Tuesday, January 28, 2003 from 5 to 7 PM. Funeral Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours (7 PM). The Reverend Howard L. Hunt will officiate. Interment will take place at the Jobs Corners Cemetery, Jobs Corners, PA at the convenience of the family.
