Mary Ellen Criss

Criss, Mary Ellen, age 71 of Elmira, NY went home to the open arms of her Lord and Savior unexpectedly on September 8th, 2018.Mary was born in Elmira, NY to the late Robert Hess and Alma (Jerzak) Sellard. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Eugene Criss Sr., and father-in-law, Arleigh B. Criss. Mary was a faithful born again Christian servant, serving many decades as a Sunday school teacher and more recently in the bus ministry. She is survived by her son, Eugene Jr, Brian, and his wife Rose; her only grandchild, Heather, "the apple of her eye"; great grandchild, Austin; sister, Paula (John) Hoxie; mother-in-law, Doris Criss; brother-in-law, David Criss; nephew, Ben (Dawn) Criss; her very dear friend, Joyce Butts; step father, Robert Sellard; along with numerous cousins, and her faithful dog "Baby doll".
