ELMIRA - Mary T. Novakowski Allen, 100, Elmira, NY passed away peacefully at Elcor on 7/22/2021.She was born on 10/14/1920 to Frank and Margaret Novakowski.She was the eldest of 8 children. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Edgar Allen, Son Edgar Allen Jr.She is survived by her niece and care giver Sandy Van Kirk and Nephew Ed (Linda) Van Kirk, a great nephew Chad (Brianne) Van Kirk and two great nieces Stacey Yee and Darcie (Daran) Chappell along with 4 great-great nieces and a great-great nephew.She enjoyed the holiday dinners with her family. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and bake along with gardening, sewing, and crocheting. There will be no calling hours per her wishes.She will be laid to rest with her husband, son, and beloved fur baby Mitzie at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Elmira. The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Elcor for the excellent care she received while residing there.They treated her like she was their grandmother, and she loved all of them.God Bless all of you!!
