Randall, Marshall E. age 78 of Elmira, NY, was blessed into peace Monday, July 23rd, 2001 at Bath Veteran?s Hospital in Bath, NY. Marshall was retired from the Chemung County Sheriffs Department and was a decorated Veteran of World War II Army-Air Corps, serving as one of the valuable aboard a B-17.He is the loving husband, father and grandfather to wife Mable Karam Randall for 56 years and son and daughter in law Thomas R. and Libera Randall, granddaughter Ann Randall of Elmira. Also surviving are his devoted Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Samuel G. and Delores Karam, Sherrill and Edith Miller, and Sister-in-law: Peg Karam and many loving nieces and nephews in the Randall, Karam, and Miller families. Many close and loving friends including Thomas Wingert, James Arnot,Charles Knapp, and Rodney Ward. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Thursday, July 26th, 2001 4:00PM to 7:00PM. Funeral and Committal services will be held there at the conclusion of the calling hours. The Reverend William Lutz will officiate. Interment will be private at the families request in the Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, NY, with full Military Honors accorded at the graveside by the Chemung County Honor Guard Squad.Those who were close to Marshall knew him for being very proud of his family, his love of German Shepards, music, model trains and his personal devotion to his country and what being a veteran was to him. Marshall?s involvement in World War II meant very much to him. He named his son Tom after two fellow servicemen he loved, who gave their lives for our country.Marshall is loved by many and will never be forgotten, for all he gave to those around him.
