Mark Q. Sanford

SANFORD, Mark Q.Age 52 of Elmira, NY passed away unexpectedly, Thursday December 12, 2002 at St. Joseph?s Hospital.Mark is survived by his sons; Kenneth Q. Sanford of Albany, and Mark Q. Sanford II of Schenectady; sisters Diane Washburg of Charlottesville VA, Bonnie Gilmartin of Schenectady, brother; James (Karen) Sanford of FL, sister-in-law; Judy Sanford of Elmira, brother-in-law; Steve (Cindy) Czarnecki of Schenectady, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, Mark is also survived by his good friends Terry Driscoll, Laura (Moosie) Blew, and David (Dob) Gillis.Mark was a truck driver for 33 years of his life and currently was working for Howard?s Express. He was a member of the local Teamsters Union and a member of the Elmira Heights American Legion. Mark was an avid coin collector and a very passionate NHRA racing fan. He was known for living life on his own terms; he recently bought a new Ford diesel pickup truck, but refused to drive it in bad weather.Mark truly enjoyed life and especially the time he spent with family and friends.Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave.to be held Monday December 16, 2002. at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Howard Hunt will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
