Mariam Irene Lain

Age 89 Of Jackson Summit, PA Passed away Thursday November 21, 2002 at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital Wellsboro, PA. She is survived by her daughter; Barbara (Herman) Stahl of Orange Park, FL, son; Keith A. Lain of Jackson Summit, PA, grandchild; Stephen H. Stahl of Orange Park, FL; great-grandchildren; Christian and Peter; sister-in-law, Bernice Eighmey; brother-in-law, Archie Lain; and several nieces and nephews. Mariam was predeceased by her husband, James S. Lain and her brother, Richard Hogancamp. She was a member of, and at one time the Treasurer of, the Jackson Summit Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School there for many years and enjoyed crocheting and crafts. She received the greatest joy from being able to help others; she was always there to help or listen to those who needed someone. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Monday, November 25, 2002 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, with Funeral and Committal Services at 7:00 PM. The Rev. Douglas Hodge will officiate. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Jackson Summit, PA.
