Margo E. Thomas

Margo E. Thomas Born August 20, 1938 in Elmira, the daughter of the late Charles and Louise (Barnes) Locke, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, peacefully at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Her beloved husband, Richard "Dick" Thomas; loving son, Kenneth Thomas; and brother, Dale Locke also preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving children: daughter, Marco Hopkins, and son, Mike Hopkins, both of Elmira, NY; sister, Roberta Horton of Ellinville, NY; along with 3 grandchildren: Richard Fisher, Farrah Fisher and Daniel Fisher; several nieces, nephews, friends and her church family. Margo was a faithful member of the Southern Tier Church of Christ. One of her greatest joys was going to church. She was a wonderful mother and loved her children. Family and friends are invited to gather for calling hours at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira/Southport, NY on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 7:15 P.M. Justin Coffin will officiate. She will be laid to rest in the Rural Home Cemetery, Big Flats, NY at the convenience of her family.
